There is a lot to talk about at this month's meet-up. Why? Because Jim Yuran's ArtLab is open! And....IndieFest is coming up soon!
Yes! San Diego's future art scene is looking bright--so Let's work together and network. Together we will build what Emily Richards is calling a Renaissance of collaboration and community.
Join us tonight, 7pm, at Cafe Libertalia, 3834 5th Ave. Hillcrest. The home of San Diego's Future of Music meet-up.

For the first SDFOM meet-up of 2011, we focus on the Artlab Grand Opening. Why? Because Jim Yuran is creating space for artist's to share space, show their work, and generate revenue. Watch the video and see it for yourself.
What about the music? Well, SdLiveEntertainment and ArtisTech Media are collaborating to bring live music and a curated sonic installation featuring ccMixter remixes from all over the world. Listen to the music here.
Of course, there is nothing like personal interaction. So come on down to Cafe Libertalia and meet the movers and the shakers of the San Diego art scene. Podcast of the conversation to follow asap.

The meet-up last night at Cafe Libertalia was a good time. Thanks to Soundcloud for sending us some T-shirts and stickers, and to David Noel who recorded a video introduction for us to watch. I'm editing the podcast of our conversation with some tracks of SoundCloud artists that Raphael and Miquel suggested, and some tracks from the recent Freedom To Share ccMixter.org event. I'll post the link here when I'm done.
Check out David's video in the interim:
